Cake Order Confirmation & Payment
Payment Policy
To secure your order with That Cakery, the following payment conditions apply:
Deposits for Online/ In-store Orders
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all orders OVER $200.
However for all orders under $200 require full payment.
Cakes are not confirmed until the deposit/full payment has been received.
Remaining Balance:
For orders over $200 (which required a 50% deposit) the remaining balance must be paid in full 7 days prior to the pickup or delivery date, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Customers may choose to pay in full upfront at the time of booking as well as long as agreed upon.
Payment Methods:
Payments can be made via direct bank transfer or applicable Square/Shopify payment platforms.
Online Orders:
Full payment is required for all online orders.
Direct Bank Transfers:
Funds must be transferred within 30 minutes of placing your order, or you may lose your spot.
Order Processing:
Orders will only be processed once payment has been confirmed.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring timely payments, allowing us to provide the best service for your special occasion.
Changes Made After Ordering
Order Change Policy
At That Cakery, we kindly ask to finalise your order details before confirming. Changes to orders may result in the following conditions:
Admin Fee for Changes:
A minimum $10 admin fee will apply for changes made to an order without a valid reason. This fee covers the time required to update bookings and invoices, as well as any costs incurred for goods already purchased or prepared.
Order Confirmation:
Once you receive your invoice, it is assumed that you are satisfied with all prices and goods ordered. Please ensure the number of guests, design, and date are correct before confirming.
Adding to Your Order:
If you wish to add more items to your order, this will be subject to availability and sufficient notice.
By confirming your order, you help us deliver the best possible experience. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Order Cancellation
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
We understand that plans can change. However, the following conditions apply to cancellations, rescheduling, and missed collections:
Enquiry Form/In Person Orders
Cancelling an order placed in person/online will result in the loss of your 50% non-refundable deposit.
Late Cancellations:
Cancelling within 3 days of your collection or delivery date will result in forfeiture of the full booking amount.However if agreed upon otherwise the deposit may be used in place as a store credit which will be valid so long as a date has been provided for the next cake collection.
Missed Collections:
If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment time for collection, we may not be available until the next business day for recollection.
Refunds cannot be provided for cakes not collected during business hours.
Currently- By appointment only OR Saturday's from 8:30am-11am
Rescheduling Orders:
To reschedule your order, notify That Cakery in writing during business hours with sufficient notice.
The new date is subject to availability, and the deposit may not be transferable.
We aim to accommodate changes where possible and appreciate your understanding of these policies.
Storage Guidelines:
That Cakery is dedicated to giving you clear guidance on how to store/transport your cake.
Once your cake has been collected by you (or someone on your behalf), or delivered to your address or event venue, That Cakery cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur after handover.
To keep your cake looking and tasting its best, please follow our storage instructions carefully.
Serving Guidelines:
Remove the cake from the fridge and allow it to come to room temperature before serving:
If the room temperature is:
Over 30°C: Display for 1–2 hours before cutting.
Between 25–30°C: Display for 3–4 hours before cutting.
Below 25°C: Display for 6–8 hours before cutting.Butter-based cakes and buttercream taste best at room temp—soft, creamy, and delicious. Nobody likes a rock-hard cake!

At That Cakery, we love originality! We’re happy to use your inspiration pics as a guide, but we don’t copy other artists’ work exactly. Every cake we make is one-of-a-kind—even when inspired by our own past designs.
